The bin icon on anything you wrote deletes it. You are asked to confirm first, and after that it is gone for everyone, along with its likes and comments. There is no restore.
Credit goes too
Deleting something takes back the XP it earned, including XP its likes or upvotes gave you, and any badge that was counting it. That is deliberate: a badge for a first post you deleted would be claiming something untrue, and without it, posting, collecting likes and deleting would be a way to mint XP.
