Reporting something

What happens after you press report.

Posts, comments, questions, answers, resources and profiles all carry a report action. It goes to the admins with a note of what you flagged.

Reports are read by a person. What follows depends on what it is: nothing, the content removed, or the account removed. You are not told the outcome for someone else's account, because that is their business.

Worth reporting

  • Harassment, threats, or going after someone personally.
  • Spam, scams, and paid work posted as if it were help.
  • Sexual content, hate, or anything involving a minor.
  • Someone pretending to be a person or a company they are not.
  • Someone else's work posted as their own.

If someone is in danger, contact your local emergency services first. We are a website; they are not.
